I've had noise-induced Tinnitus since March. If you know or have yourself experienced the sound suddenly going away, please let me know. I'd also like to hear other peoples experiences with tinnitus, as it can be quite frustrating a lot of times.
I have a friend who has had tinnitus for a week now with episodes of orthostatic hypotension and his doctor told him to drink more water and add more salt to his diet. Is this good advice?
I have a persistent ringing and zing zing sound in my ears that will not go away. The doctor just told me it was tinnitus and not much could be done. Help.
Has anyone ever experienced Tinnitus in their ears for long periods of time?
I am a thirty year old with little singing experience and recently discovered I may have tinnitus. I used to sing in high school from a natural ability and recently got back to learning it. However, I am having trouble replicating what I am supposed to be hearing. Is there any correctional technique?
I've suffered from tinnitus for 10+ years now and the noises themselves have never been too much of a nuisance, but in recent months I've started to experience significant pain, soreness, itching, tingling, and throbbing in my ears, along with headaches, jaw pain and vertigo. I've also been a severe teeth-grinder and wear a protective mouthguard at night. Should I be worried? And should I even bother wasting money to see a ENT if they're basically just going to give me a hearing test and tell me to learn to live with it?
I've suffered from tinnitus for more than ten years now, but in the last few years symptoms have really started to take a turn for the worse and now the condition has become quite painful physically. I experience constant earaches, headaches, soreness/tingling, and occasional vertigo (though no insomnia). Anyone know of any alternative remedies (e.g. acupuncture, herbal medicines, etc.,) that may help?
Let me elaborate a bit….I know what caused my tinnitus: it was my years and years of constant headphone use (something which has made me feel like a bit of a spokesperson for people who use I-pods).
There's no question about that because I've never had any tumors and I don't suffer Meniere's Disease.
I think the original symptoms (while somewhat alarming) didn't really bother me. Only since the physical pain started has this really started to make life difficult.
I don’t have Tinnitus, so I can’t check. I am wondering, if someone with Tinnitus can do a little test. Close your eyes, and ask someone you know to snap their fingers, hit 2 coins together, or any other small sound above, in front, below, and behind your head – and let me know if you can tell the difference between the audio positions with your eyes closed.
Thanks.
Tinnitus is a condition where it appears to the person that their ears are emitting a high pitched ringing noise continuously. This can be either a temporary or a permanent condition. The question most people with this condition ask is is there a cure for tinnitus? Since tinnitus is usually a temporary problem, cures are easily found. Only one in one hundred cases are very serious and need surgery to be treated.
Most people get tinnitus because of stress, depression, or irregular sleep patterns. Tinnitus is perceived as a continuous ringing sound in one or both ears. It is a very annoying disorder that can be treated with expert advice from properly trained professionals.
Almost all young people have a touch of tinnitus whenever they go to a nightclub or a music concert and there is sudden quiet upon exiting. This is a short lived problem and usually does not need medical attention as it is usually gone by the next morning. However, if the problem persists, medical attention is needed since ringing of the ears that is brought on by loud noises most often means damage to inner parts of the ear. There are a number of medications available that can completely cure tinnitus. As with all medical disorders, it is important to seek competent medical attention for diagnosis and treatment. If you would like to find a natural solution, after diagnosis, you can seek treatment from a properly trained natural doctor.
As soon as you notice the problem, it is important to seek medical attention as tinnitus can cause balance problems and problems while driving due to the noise in your ears. It can also make people think that they are going deaf, which is not the case most of the time. If you are unable to see your doctor right away, make sure you get plenty of rest and fluids while you wait for your appointment. Even if the symptoms go away with rest it is important to see your doctor to get checked and to get the problem treated so that it does not return.
Ok I am 14 years old, and today I have been diagnosed with tinnitus. I do listen to music loud and play guitar loud, but that will have t o change … OK on with the story, this has been going on since Saturday. My doctor has given me an anti-inflammatory medicine. And he said if that doesn’t work he would refer me to a specialist. Is there a chance my tinnitus can go away, because on this one medical site I read that the ringing can decrease volume wise, or be elimentated. Is it possible my tinnitus can “go away” …?
Actually ge gave me a sample of methylprednisolone which I found out is a steroid, will this help me??? Please I need to know, and even if I get treatment, will I be able to play shows w/ my band ???
