I have had tinnitus for at least 6-12 months, I have not been to a Dr.
I have a constant, high pitched noise in my left ear.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
I am looking for a realistic assesment, not just someone to tell me "go to a Dr."
I know I need to see a Dr., but is there any real treatment for this condition, or is it hopeless?
Sometimes it’s so bad I’ve looked around for someone rhythmically striking a metal pole, that’s what it sounded like. Maybe it is my heartbeat or blood pumping? Does anyone else have that happen? Sometimes it’s just weird scrapy-noises though. Also it’s not every time I exercise, but especially if I do so intensely. Any help would be great.
i suffer from severe allergies and at present suffer from tinnitus – ringing in the right ear. Also have significant loss of hearing in the right ear.

I have been advised there is no cure for tinnitus! I cannot survive awful ringing sounds in the ears? Surely there must be some cure available somewhere?
I have had tinnitus for nearly a year now and am now rather deaf in my right ear as a result. I also get bronchitis a lot.like about every six months. I am on a lot of tablets for my heart so have to be careful about what I take in conjunction with what I am on.
