Stop Ringing Ears

Cut back on caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and aspirin; they can make ringing in the ears worse.
Have your hearing checked. A properly adjusted hearing aid may diminish or even eliminate the ringing.
Ask your doctor about ear devices that cover up, or mask, tinnitus. Low-volume white noise, such as television or radio static, may also help.
Exercise to improve circulation and possibly ease symptoms.
Consider acupuncture to relieve the buzzing.
Aspirin, especially if it’s overused, can cause ringing in the ears — and so can the aspirin-like herb white willow bark. Avoid both of them if ringing in the ears is a problem.
Loud noises may be the prime contributing factor to tinnitus. To help prevent further damage to the ears, wear earplugs. They are a boon if you’re often exposed to noisy machinery, music, or explosives.

Supplement Recommendations –

Ginkgo Biloba
Dosage: 40 mg 3 times a day.
Comments: Standardized to have at least 24% flavone glycosides.

Inositol Hexaniacinate
Dosage: 500 mg 3 times a day.
Comments: This form of niacin does not cause flushing.

Vitamin B6
Dosage: 50 mg 3 times a day.
Comments: 200 mg daily over long term can cause nerve damage.

Vitamin B12/Folic Acid
Dosage: 1,000 mcg vitamin B12 and 400 mcg folic acid a day.
Comments: Take sublingual form for best absorption.

Magnesium
Dosage: 400 mg twice a day.
Comments: Take with food; reduce dose if diarrhea develops.

Zinc/Copper
Dosage: 30 mg zinc and 2 mg copper a day.
Comments: Add copper only when using zinc longer than 1 month.

Did it ever come to your mind , that you could have air in your ear or maybe you still have an infection go to the doc.

Loud music is bad. It doesn’t matter if it is rock or classical but the ear is very sensative and the more loud music you listen to, the more damage that occurs. Eventually you will not get rid of the tinnitus and will just have to live with it. I know as I have it but I eentually got used to it and don’t notice it anymore unless I stop to think about it or if I can’t hear what someone is saying because the ringing is to loud.

Unfortunitely tinnitus is a chronic condition. No one is sure whjat causes it or how to fix it. The most common way to deal with it is to mask the ringing. Hearing aids help with that , but since you have excellent hearing, music, or a low hum of some sort can help.
However, see your Dr and let him/her give you some suggestions

Tinnitus is horrible , isnt it . Mine affects my hearing as well. Im just about to be referred to the hospital to see what they can do for me but I dont think it will be very much. I think we’re just gonna have to grin and bear it !

You could try taking some Ginko (as long as you are not taking blood thinners). Avoid caffeine including colas, coffee, tea, and chocolate. Avoid aspirin and foods that contain salicylates for a month (apples, apricots, berries, cherries, cucumbers, grapes, oranges, pickles prunes, tomatoes) and if the tinnitis improves eliminate them from the menu completely. You may try a few at a time to narrow it down if one of them is the cause. Never listen to loud music through headphones

I can’t believe no one mentioned chiropractic manipulation. An exam by a chiropractor can show if there is dysfunction of the vertebrae in the neck. The innervation to the ear does come from this area and there could be a possible relationship in your case.
Give a local chiropractor a call. Most offices will do a free 10 minute consult with you if you are uncertain.

try taking ginger and zinc. try some acupressure. this worked for my wife.
